Well, I fixed the issue with quicksaving, but now there seems to be another problem. I started a new character to test out all the recent mods I added and now it will not progress the main quest past turning in the tablet to the wizard in Whiterun.
I removed the mods, started a fresh character, but the error is still there. I tried forcing the next quest to start by using the console, but no luck. Not sure what to try next but I might have to reinstall.

Here's a bit more on Bethesda's plan for continued support and DLC, such as:

"Because that gap is going to be bigger, we want to put litle[sic] things out for free in between. We've already done that for PC with the high-res pack. We're trying to figure out what those things are."

I'm really glad to hear that they are going to take this kind of approach to their already fantastic game. I think its better than saying "We want 5 DLCs" and instead give out 3 DLCs with lots of free extras in between. It will keep people playing their game longer and give them extra press.

Yesterday a new driver for Nvidia cards came out, I dutifully downloaded but have yet to give it a whirl. For us Skyrim players it boasts a lot of benefits:

The Nvidia site boasts of significant improvements to Skyrim framerates. Indoor scenes should run 45% faster and Skyrim’s grand outdoor vistas will see a 16% boost. The drivers also come with an improved version of the ambient occlusion effect added by the last set of drivers. This adds a subtle layer of extra shadowing and darken the deep cracks in Skyrim’s rocky landscapes, boosting their cragginess factor by about 14%.

Really cool costume and photoshoot! Made me chilly to look at it, though.

This is a pretty cool College Humour bit on Skyrim. Not usually a fan of what they do, but this one rocks.

The first DLC for Skyrim has been announced. It's called Dawnguard and snow elves and crossbows have been hinted at. No more information yet.
