I didn't get very far into crafting. The materials take up quite a bit of space in your bags plus the extra vendor items needed are costly at low levels.

Crafting is such a nuisance, with all the material juggling, that I have to wait until I'm established and ready to deal with all the fuss in a serious manner before I delve into it.

Yeah I tried to do crafting, but I got the impression that it was very expensive and took up quite a lot of room in your bags. By the time I was able to make my first piece of armor, I had already found a piece doing quests that was better than it. I think perhaps they need to make it a bit easier to get into.
Of course they may simply intend for it to be something to do once you're established as Jumwa said, so that you can craft lower level stuff merely to sell to people. Somehow this disinterests me as I always liked being able to craft my own stuff as I leveled to be able to make use of it.

From what I understand You can right click on mats in your bag from anywhere in the world, and click deposit collectible, and it goes into a special crafting storage space in your bank.

I'm curious if the game crashed/bugged for anyone here at all yesterday. There were stories of players getting stuck on the loading screens for the human areas, but I didn't have any issue with charr or norn.
